teresa painting, christmas 2009

This has been a season of peaceful holidays, spent painting! It's been years since I had this freedom.
On Christmas Day my friend of many decades gifted me with her presence and suggested a portrait party. We set a limit of 20 minutes but failed to set a timer, I think it was 30! This sketch is in acrylic on canvas, 8 x 8 inches.

Love this quick one! Inspiring and what a lovely way to spend Christmas. I did the family thing, but it was simple and small...I'll be painting again soon...I promise myself.

You are up! Your blazing red heart emerged despite my somber colors. Thank you for the best part of the day!

Thank you, Tyler, and Maggie, for your visits! This was the best part of my day by far, and the best way I can remember celebrating my own personal holidays/holy days!
I say we are all allotted more of these per year!
